CONTEXT & CHALLENGE
In May 2024, Rio Grande do Sul went through the worst climate disaster in its history. The state's two biggest clubs had millions of fans, media reach and commercial properties coveted by the country's biggest brands. The challenge was to turn that power into real resources for rebuilding, and not into yet another message of solidarity.
INSIGHT
The Gre-Nal, the derby between Grêmio and Internacional, has split the state into two colors for more than a century. Colors no brand dares to touch. But the flood didn't pick a side. If the tragedy belonged to everyone, so did the response.
CONCEPT
Jogando Junto, pela reconstrução do RS (Playing Together, to rebuild Rio Grande do Sul). A movement above the jerseys: neither Grêmio's nor Inter's. It belongs to the people of the state.
Grêmio blue + Inter red = purple. A color that belongs to neither and, for that very reason, belongs to both.
Behind the gesture, a concrete platform: the clubs gave up space on their kits and properties to companies that donated money, credit or products to the victims. The rivalry became media in service of the rebuilding.
IDENTITY
Two hands, one from each club, come together to form a football: sport as a force for mobilization. The system uses purple as the master color, alongside the colors of both clubs and of Rio Grande do Sul, and was applied from armbands to T-shirts.

EXECUTION
The campaign was announced at a surprise press conference with the presidents of both clubs and the state governor, and rolled out into a film, a landing page, both clubs' social channels and a purple captain's armband on the pitch. Donations were organized with CUFA.

On the pitch, the purple armband went on the arms of Grêmio and Inter players alike: the same symbol on both sides of the Gre-Nal.
